See the Yankees can have fun too.

A day after finding out they lost Rivera for the season, the Yankees respond with a 6-2 win over the Royals.. CC 8 IP 2 ER, Jeter & Tex both with 2 run HR’s, Robertson strikes out the side in the 9th.
I’m still in shock/denial mode about Mariano Rivera being done for the season =/.. But the Yankees are STILL championship contenders. It’s gonna be very weird knowing that if/when they win #28, it’ll be without The Sandman.. wow.

It really annoys the hell outta me when people say Mariano Rivera is “arguably” the greatest closer of all time.. HE IS THE GREATEST CLOSER OF ALL TIME! It’s not even a fuckin debate!
