“We’ve made a lot of enemies the last 20 years. People want to take advantage if we’re down. Our job is to say we’re not down. Our job is to prove we’re not down. Our job is to find a way and we expect to do that.” -Brian Cashman

A lot of people are saying this year’s Yankees have a very good chance of missing the playoffs & possibly winning less than 90 games. I’m excited about the low expectations though. Overcoming the odds & proving the doubters wrong is always satisfying. I’m also looking forward to the bandwagon fans being exposed if the Yanks end up not doing so good this year. So in the end, its a win/win in my opinion lol

Let’s do this for The Captain! #Mission28 ain’t over yet, ain’t over by a long shot!
Yankees are 4-9 in their last 13 games. It’s been a tough few weeks, but they’re still hanging on to a 1 game lead in the AL East. With one month left in the season, NOW’S the time to worry when the team plays bad like this. Tense, anxiety filled days lie ahead for Yankees fans.

From ‘96-‘09 critics said Derek Jeter was “overrated”. In ‘2010-early ‘11 he was “washed up”. He plays GREAT this year he’s “using PED’s”. Smh.. It never ends. Critics will always find some way to downplay or throw dirt all over Jeter’s accomplishments/ability.

Has baseball ever seen a bigger bunch of whiners & complainers than the Red Sox teams of the past couple years? Damn.. You wanna talk about a team cursed with injuries & bad breaks? How about the Yankees losing Rivera, Pettitte, Robertson, Chamberlain, Rodriguez, Sabathia, Gardner.. the list of Yankees players missing significant time due to injuries is ridiculously long, but yet they’ve overcome them all to have the AL’s best record & a substantial lead in the AL East.

Derek Jeter’s teammates celebrate after he hits a HR for his 3000th hit. What a moment.
I don’t give a crap about the whole “Subway Series” hype, (The Mets are just another team to me, not a rival) but I’m definitely interested in seeing my Yankees face the Legend that is R.A. Dickey tonight.
